Indian shooter Vijay Kumar, who won a silver medal at the London Olympics, now feels like a victim of sports politics. The National Rifle Association of India (NRAI) did not select him as a coach, and now he has appealed to the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) to intervene in the matter.

Vijay Kumar wrote a letter to the Prime Minister’s Office in September. In the letter, he highlighted his achievements and alleged that the NRAI had ignored his accomplishments and excluded him from the coaching panel. The PMO acted on his appeal and forwarded it to Joginder Singh, Under Secretary, Government of India, on October 13th.
