S&P/TSX composite up in late-morning trading, U.S. stocks also rise

TORONTO — Strength in the technology sector helped Canada's main stock index edge higher in late-morning trading, while U.S. stock markets also posted gains. The S&P/TSX composite index was up 18.17 points at 30,197.15.
