SPARTANBURG, S.C. (FOX Carolina) - The Spartanburg Police Department said it seeking the public’s help in locating a wanted suspect.

Officials said Akeem Alfonzo Hackett, Sr. is wanted in connection with a weapons offense that took place on Crescent Avenue on Oct. 17.

According to law enforcement, an altercation took place in the parking lot of the Crescent Hills Apartments and involved several individuals and a black SUV. During the fight, Hackett Sr. got a gun from another person and fired multiple shots and hit a vehicle.

Police said on Wednesday, Hackett Sr.’s 17-year-old son, Akeem Alfonzo Hackett Jr. was arrested and charged as an adult for his participation in the same incident. He was charged with attempted murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime and remains in
