GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KREX) - Two people are believed to have robbed an apartment after refusing to leave the residence early Friday morning.
According to the Grand Junction Police Department, officers responded to a burglary in progress around 1:20 a.m. at the Four Points Apartments, 1222 Elm Ave., after receiving a report of a break-in. During their investigation, officers found the two suspects followed another group from the Lux Ultra Lounge on North Avenue to the apartment.
Once there, they allegedly gained unlawful entry and refused to leave, according to the police department. The two suspects reportedly left after punching a hole in the wall and kicking the apartment door.
Officers contacted the people reportedly involved and took them into custody without incident.
