HOUSATONIC, M.A. (NEWS10) -A lot of work goes into owning a home, more so in the country according to the Central Berkshire Habitat for Humanity.

Not only is the nonprofit building six now and fourteen later, it’s also making sure there’s proper water and sewage. “Building affordable homes makes it almost impossible if it was not for government support and help. So we’re trying to bring attention to the fact that more money needs to go into rural communities like this,” said CEO Carolyn Valli.

Valli added that rural communities often have lower-income families.
