Talk about a glow-up.
Coastal Carolina entered its Thursday night matchup with Marshall by debuting glow-in-the-dark uniforms, part of the program’s pre-Halloween festivities that ended with a 44-27 win.
The jerseys were a surprise to the players, who entered a dark locker room to discover the black-lit garments — though they rushed to make sure the equipment was charged in time for start.
“When we got back to the locker room, there was already some chattering and we were trying to figure out what the surprise was,” senior linebacker Dontae Lunan told reporters. “They did a good job keeping it a secret, because we got back to the locker room and we seen the jerseys and they’ve got the glow-in-the-dark lights and everyone’s trying to get their stuff recharged. It was an amazing surprise.
