GLEN FORK, W.Va. — Community members in the area of Oceana are in deep sadness over the loss of a mother and her son in a house fire.
Sue Ellen Workman and her son Easton Workman perished in the flames. The two were found after the blaze at their home in an area of Wyoming County called Turkey Dip. The location is near the Oceana city limits and close to Glen Fork Elementary School.
Easton was a student at the school. Grief counselors were on hand Friday to help classmates deal with the pain.
Easton was a baseball player for the Oceana Little League and the league has planned a candlelight vigil for the mother and son who were beloved members of the community on Saturday night.
