Grammatical errors, including a misplaced full-stop, are likely to cost the Town of Mosman Park more than $5000.
The small council will have to pay $5500 to readvertise rather than simply correct two local laws that contain written errors found in its copy.
The minor mistakes that have been picked up include the misuse of a single full stop and incorrect capitalising of a word.
There was also incorrect clause numbering, non-operational department references and incorrect legislation.
The errors were uncovered in the Urban Environment and Nuisance Local Law 2025 and Local Government Property, Activities and Trading in Thoroughfares and Public Places Local Laws 2025.
