WILKES-BARRE — With less than two weeks before the start of a Luzerne County jury trial for two state corrections officers charged with allowing two inmates to attack another inmate, defense attorneys believe prosecutors have been willfully negligent in turning over critical evidence.

Attorneys Theron J. Solomon and Nicole M. Psaila during a testy motions hearing before Judge David W. Lupas on Friday asked that the entire case against their client Kahil J. Lewis, 30, be dismissed and the district attorney’s office be punished for failing to meet deadlines.
