Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Friday alleged that Congress MP Gaurav Gogoi is “100% a Pakistani agent.” He claimed that Gogoi had been planted in India by a foreign power. “The day I show the evidence, everyone will accept that he is a hundred percent Pakistani agent,” Sarma said.
CM Sarma challenged Gogoi to file a defamation case if the allegations were false. He added that he is not making the evidence public yet, otherwise people might say he is distracting from the investigation into singer Zubeen Garg’s death, which is ongoing.
Earlier, the Assam CM had alleged that Gaurav Gogoi’s wife receives a salary from a Pakistan-based NGO while living in India. He also claimed that Gogoi’s wife and children are not Indian citizens and questioned whether Gogoi had visited Pakist
