An arrest warrant has been issued for Oscar Lee Burell Jr., the Portland man who has tried to gin up social-media followers by posting videos of himself flouting traffic laws and otherwise acting bizarrely while driving the city’s streets.
Multnomah County District Attorney Nathan Vasquez saw this result coming.
In September, when Circuit Judge Katharine von Ter Stegge found Burell guilty of reckless driving and reckless endangerment but acquitted him of eight other similar misdemeanors and sentenced him to probation, Vasquez said he found the judge’s decision “bewildering.”
