FLORISSANT, Colo. (KKTV) - The Florissant Fire Protection District (FFPD) said Friday that a data processing issue has affected the mailing of ballots for certain eligible voters in the upcoming election.
According to FFPD, the issue is affecting some property owners outside the district boundaries. A community member reportedly brought the situation to the district’s attention on Wednesday.
FFPD said District staff immediately began identifying and verifying affected records; however, the Teller County Clerk and Recorder’s deadline for mailing ballots had passed.
According to FFPD, eligible voters who did not receive a ballot can still participate in the election by requesting and completing a paper ballot in person by Tuesday.
This must be done at the Vote Center at Woodland Park Lib
