Organizers said the 30th anniversary LEAF was "wonderful."
The organization is not "out of the woods" yet, according to the founder and visionary connector.
The festival celebrating 30 years of LEAF Global Arts was “wonderful,” according to Founder and Visionary Connector Jennifer Pickering, but the organization is not “out of the woods” yet.
Prior to the October festival, Pickering told Black Mountain News the organization would need to raise $300,000 “to keep LEAF alive.”
“Where we are right now is that our focus was creating one of the most wonderful, best LEAF that we could,” Pickering said. "What it does – and we’re really grateful for this – is it opens up conversations and possibilities.”
She said LEAF will be having “strategic thinking conversations” over the next month or two
