It’s the suburb with the highest median house price in the nation, and it’s not the one you’d expect.
Move over Point Piper, Toorak, Vaucluse and Paddington … The suburb with the most expensive typical house is now the quiet, suburban, harbourside enclave of Sydney’s Bellevue Hill.
Its median house price is now an eye-watering $10 million, a figure that’s more than tripled since March 2015.
“Its price has just exploded over the last decade,” said Domain chief of research and economics Dr Nicola Powell. “It’s the highest suburb median ever recorded, bar a quick blip last year.
