A Cambridge road will be closed over the weekend due to a gas incident. The A1134 Fen Causeway was closed yesterday (Thursday, October 30) due to a “gas escape”.

Cadent is carrying out emergency works along the road and this is expected to go on until Monday (November 3). A Cadent spokesperson said: “We started some emergency works at the junction of The Fen Causeway (A1134) and Trumpington Road (A603) yesterday afternoon, following a report of a gas escape.

“We have worked with the highways authority to agree the best traffic management approach, so we can safely complete the work as quickly and safely as possible, whilst protecting road users and our engineers.
