Loveland High School placed 25th nationally in the T-Mobile Friday Night 5G Lights school spirit competition, a placing that will yield the school’s athletics department a $30,000 check.

During the competition, schools compete to show school spirit on social media, and votes from social media users determine their placing.

It’s the promotion’s second year in operation, and LHS has been a finalist both years, earning 16th place last year and 25th place this year, both enough to warrant bigger checks.

LHS has not yet determined what the funds will be spent on, according to TSD spokesperson Michael Hausmann.

In total, Loveland High garnered 90,000 votes in the 2025 competition.

Loveland High was the only Colorado school to place in the top 25.
