MOUNT CARMEL — A former Northumberland County district attorney is facing charges stemming from an April incident in which he claimed two armed men were attempting to steal his Dobermann pinscher.
State police Friday charged Anthony Matulewicz III, 47, of Mount Carmel, with misdemeanor counts of possession of a controlled substance, disorderly conduct and public drunkenness.
He will be sent a summons to appear before District Judge William C. Cole.
Borough police were dispatched to Matulewicz’s home on North Oak Street at 4:17 a.m. on April 30 after he called 911.
