BOSTON — Bruins coach Marco Sturm said Elias Lindholm was having an MRI on Friday morning, but expected his injured center would miss a few weeks.
For now, the Bruins haven’t made any callups from the AHL. That decision might not come until they’ve determined whether Lindholm is played on injured reserve.
There were no Lindholms on the ice at Bruins practice on Monday as neither new dad Hampus nor newly injured Elias were participants.
Hampus Lindholm was with his fiancée and newborn daughter, but is expected to play Saturday against Carolina.
Elias Lindholm left Thursday’s game with an apparent left leg injury after a center ice collision with Jordan Greenway. He needed to be helped off the ice.
