A missing Louisiana girl was found alive Thursday, hidden in a sheet-covered box in a Pittsburgh man’s basement, according to police.

Authorities in Louisiana have been investigating the 13-year-old girl’s disappearance since last week, and a Childline report Thursday led Pittsburgh police and federal agents to a home on Davis Avenue in the city’s Brighton Heights neighborhood.

At the home, authorities found the missing girl in a box that was covered with a sheet in the home’s basement, according to the criminal complaint filed Friday.

Ki-Shawn Crumity, 26, faces a dozen charges, including trafficking and multiple sexual assault-related charges. Police noted that there were “additional adults” in the home at the time.
