WARREN COUNTY, Ohio (WXIX) - Two Warren County municipalities are stepping in to help local food pantries as the government shutdown reaches day 31 and SNAP benefits are set to lapse this weekend.

Springboro and Clearcreek Township have established donation stations and made monetary contributions to address expected increased demand on food pantries and donation centers.

Springboro City Manager Chris Pozzuto and City Council developed the donation initiative, which Clearcreek Township is mirroring.

The city partnered with the Springboro Community Assistance Center on a cash donation and set up a drop-off center in their lobby.
