YORK, Virginia — For the past four years, Kira Trader has been the heartbeat of Tabb High School’s field hockey dynasty. Now a senior, she finds herself in a rare position — with a chance to both begin and end her high school career as a state champion.
Trader and the Tigers are once again heading to the state tournament after capturing the Class 3 Region A title with recent wins, including a dominant showing against Hopewell. The victory extended Tabb’s remarkable winning streak to 110 consecutive games, cementing the program’s place among the state’s all-time greats.
