DALLAS — Staffing issues have caused a ground delay at DFW Airport on Halloween for the third time this week , according to the Federal Aviation Administration .
The FAA said the average delay at DFW Airport Friday, Oct. 31 is 26 minutes; the staffing trigger is in effect from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. As of shortly before 2 p.m. Friday, FlightAware data showed 180 total delays at DFW Airport and 14 cancellations.
DFW Airport is not the only one impacted by staffing shortages. JFK Airport has a ground stop and Newark Airport has an average delay of more than 100 minutes, according to the FAA.
A ground delay was in effect Thursday, Oct. 30 for the same reason and also on Monday, Oct. 27.
