INDIANAPOLIS -- Artificial intelligence is continuing to impact the workforce and colleges are adapting by offering AI-driven courses to prepare their students for the future.
Big companies like Amazon and Target have laid off employees due to AI being in the workforce. Amazon laid off 14,000 employees earlier this week, while Target cut over 1,800 positions with their company. Universities are recognizing the change and are offering courses to help their students with skills that can survive the rise of technology.
"It's tough to know what to do next in terms of being ready to use AI well, to be able to keep your job or even advance in your job," said Brian Williams, tech chair at the IU Kelley School of Business.
While AI isn't new to the workforce, Williams believes it's a scapegoat
