WEST BRANCH, MI – Conner Lambert’s greatest strengths are size and speed, mobility and agility, technicality and physicality.
And flat-out pride.
When the hard-hitting Ogemaw Heights linebacker returned from a five-week layoff due to injury, the Falcons were curious to see how long it would take him to regain form. They got a quick answer.
Lambert spearheaded the defense – just like his old self – in Ogemaw’s 27-7 victory over Croswell-Lexington in Week 9.
“They ran the ball on us on one drive – and it was only one drive,” Ogemaw coach Chad Miller said. “From that point, Conner became the most physical player on the field.”
Lambert’s eight-tackle performance in his first full game back earned the senior MLive Bay City Player of the Week honors. He drew 50.6 percent of the 26,263 ball
