BUFFALO, N.Y. — A Buffalo man has been indicted on charges stemming from an alleged utility fraud scheme.
According to Erie County District Attorney Michael Keane, Umar Graham, 29, has been arraigned on two counts of Grand Larceny in the 2nd Degree, one count of Unlawful Possession of Personal Identification Information in the 2nd Degree, and one count of Scheme to Defraud in the 1st Degree.
DA Keane says that between February 2024 and August 2025, Graham allegedly ran a scheme with the intent to defraud over ten people, and fraudulently obtain property, by offering fake financial services through "Buffalo CPN."
