George Georgiou, a University of Alberta professor in the faculty of education, provided an opinion based on empirical evidence, information gathered through observation, experimentation, or direct evidence supporting or disproving a hypothesis. Unless empirical evidence is provided by those engaged in the particular profession, it has limited value.

Georgiou stated, “in education (a profession) we need to act professionally.”
