Two people have died and a third person is missing after a boating accident Thursday afternoon on the Bogachiel River, the Clallam County Sheriff’s Office said.
A drift boat overturned with four people onboard, Sheriff Brian King said Thursday evening.
First responders pulled Christian Akers, 35, of Sequim, and his 7-year-old son, Wyatt Akers, from the water, according to a press release Friday from the Sheriff’s Office.
Despite lifesaving measures, both were declared dead at the scene.
Alfonso Graham, 39, of Port Orchard, is still missing and in the water, the Sheriff’s Office said. Search efforts continued Friday.
