After a whopping 46 seasons, the MTV comedy clip show “Ridiculousness” has been canceled.
“Ridiculousness” will continue into 2026 with previously shot episodes, but no new episodes will be filmed. Season 46, which kicked off on Oct. 12, will be the show’s last installment.
According to a Variety report, the cancelation comes as MTV aims to feature “a more curated slate of content” that “embraces its experimental DNA” and represents “different creative voices” and a “refreshed programming.”
There are more than 1,700 episodes of “Ridiculousness,” which premiered in August 2011. It’s not uncommon for reruns of the clip show to take up hours of MTV’s schedule on any given day. On Saturday, Nov. 1, for example, back to back episodes of “Ridiculousness” are slated to air from 3 a.m. ET t
