BARABOO, Wis. -- Baraboo police confirmed there was no immediate danger after a high school student threatened to bring a gun to school and shoot a classmate.

Police learned of the threat at around 8 p.m. Thursday night. Officers quickly made contact with both students and learned that neither had access to a gun or the means to carry out the threat.

Baraboo School District administration was notified of the incident. Police said there were no further concerns about classes being held Friday, however there were extra school patrols Friday morning as a precaution.
