Nick Thompson, CEO of The Atlantic, is known for overseeing record subscriber growth and returning the company to profitability as well as captivating audiences as a public speaker.
But the journalist and author is also a world-class long-distance runner.
This Sunday, Thompson will toe the line for his 13th New York City Marathon.
Ahead of the race, Thompson is reflecting on his 20-year journey running marathons and on how the sport shaped his complex relationship with his father in his new memoir, “The Running Ground: A Father, a Son, and the Simplest of Sports.”
He joined "The Rush Hour" on Friday to talk about the memoir and his upcoming marathon race.
