SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. — Spokane Valley Summer Theatre announced on Friday that it has canceled its plans for the 2026 season.

SVST says it was set to feature three mainstage musicals and nine summer camps after a donor provided the money necessary to rent space from the Central Valley School District.

Working with CVSD, the organization says it secured dates needed for rehearsals, performances, and camps at University High School and got the go-ahead to finalize those plans in the district’s online reservation system.

However, SVST said that through several emails, CVSD has adjusted or cancelled dates and theatre access due in part to recent requests made by district personnel to use the facility. CVSD reportedly told SVST that it could not guarantee any dates or times reserved and paid
