Several Coachella Valley eateries were downgraded, shut down or investigated by Riverside County health department officials this week, according to reports.
Tacos Del Valle in Cathedral City was closed by health inspectors when they saw a number of repeat violations. The facility was not approved to operate or reopen without the county's approval, but the following day inspectors received word that the site was open and serving customers. When inspectors visited the restaurant, they saw it was operating and that the "facility closed" sign was removed from the window. Inspectors shut down the spot again, issued a citation and revoked its permit.
