GRAHAM, N.C. — A former Alamance County detention officer was arrested Wednesday after authorities executed a search warrant at her home, accusing her of having sex with an inmate and supplying him with drugs while he was behind bars.

Alberta Marie Hamm, 40, faces multiple felony charges, including sex act by a government institution employee, possession of controlled substances on jail premises, possession with intent to distribute schedule III drugs, conspiracy to sell and deliver controlled substances, and providing contraband to an inmate. Her bond was set at $200,000 secured.

The inmate, Richard Montgomery Robertson Jr., 36, has been in custody since 2020 on murder charges under a $500,000 bond. He also faces felony conspiracy to possess controlled substances on jail premises. His
