Any time is a good time to win half a million dollars. It was doubly so for Lynn Riopel of Sudbury, who walked away with $535,492 as the winner of October’s HSN 50/50 take-home grand prize.

“I’m right in the middle of building a house and am living with my parents for a bit while the work is being done,” Riopel said in a release. “This couldn’t have come at a better time. I play with a friend of mine every month and she’s going to be so excited when I tell her. I still can’t believe it.”
