The growing drama regarding the Museum Club’s future in Flagstaff took yet another turn on Friday as the upcoming auction for the contents of the business was canceled.

The cancellation was announced across multiple Facebook pages on Friday afternoon, hours before the supposed final day of operations for the Museum Club, but no specific reason was detailed for the decision. Initially announced on Oct. 13, the auction was scheduled for Nov. 8 and was to include animal mounts, beer signs, photos of past artists performing at the location, custom made tables, a pair of contracts signed by Willie Nelson in the 1960s, a scale model of the original taxidermy log building and the guitar sign in the front building.
