CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Investigations are underway after a fight broke out during dismissal at West Charlotte High School on Friday afternoon. Those investigations include an officer's actions that were captured on viral video.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools said it had seen videos circulating online that show the fight unfolding. The district acknowledged that the videos may be disturbing to parents and said the district and the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department were investigating.

WCNC Charlotte has seen the videos, but is not using them at this time as we do not have permission from the original owners. However, one video appears to show a CMPD officer slamming a female student to the ground.
