MIDDLESBORO, Ky. (WYMT) - Winning seasons, region and district titles, and even a state championship is special.

For the Middlesboro Football program, though, they have reached a milestone few teams in the state of Kentucky have achieved.

“At the beginning of the season, that’s what we keyed on is 700 wins, just for the program,” said senior wide receiver/defensive back Mekhi Young. “We thought about it every practice, every day about what it would feel like and we got it done and that was our goal.”

The Yellow Jackets entered a unique football fraternity in the state after defeating Harlan on Oct. 3 to pick up their 700th win in school history.
