NORTH CHARLESTON — U.S. Rep. Nancy Mace allegedly berated police and TSA agents when she became frustrated while attempting to pass through security at Charleston International Airport, according to law enforcement reports.
In three written accounts from airport police, Mace is described as loudly calling officers “(expletive) incompetent” during the Oct. 30 encounter and was quoted as saying “this is no way to treat a (expletive) U.S. Representative.”
Mace also stated that U.S. Sen. Tim Scott, R-S.C., would not be treated this way, according to the incident reports.
