CHICAGO (WGN) — A 15-year-old boy was killed in a drive-by shooting Friday afternoon on Chicago’s Near West Side, police say.
According to police, the teen was standing on the sidewalk in the 1300 block of West Grenshaw Street at around 4:15 p.m. when an unknown vehicle pulled up.
Somebody inside the vehicle opened fire, striking the boy in the chest and right leg.
He was taken to Stroger HoHHospital, where he was pronounced dead.
No arrests have been made. Area Three detectives are investigating.
