All roads seemed to lead to Asia this week, as Mark Carney joined Donald Trump and other world leaders converging on Asian capitals. The trend began with the Association of Southeast Asian Nations summit in Malaysia and continued with the Asia-Pacific Economic Co-operation meeting in South Korea , where side meetings with China took place.

The U.S. President was in his element, doing what he likes best: cutting deals and making big-ticket announcements, including side deals with several countries in the region.
