LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - The family of 16-year-old Ali Naqvi is honoring him on what would’ve been his seventeenth birthday.
Ali’s mother, Mona Naqvi, says friends and family will meet at Jacobson Park on Sunday evening because this is where she took her son for Halloween last year.
“I won’t be able to hear his voice or hug him or kiss him,” Naqvi said.
She says the loss has been hard and as time passes, it doesn’t get any easier because it is a physical and emotional pain.
“Most of the mornings when I wake up, I feel like my son is in the grave and why am I in bed? It’s just every second of your life,” Naqvi said.
The Sunday he went missing was Mother’s Day and this was the last time his mom says she saw him alive.
