ELBA, Ala. (WDHN)—After going on the road and taking down the Florala Wildcats in a 48-27 blowout victory, the Elba Tigers have been named the latest Extra Point Team of the Week for Week Nine of Wiregrass football.

It looked like a season to forget for the Tigers, as they started their 2025 campaign 0-6, but this team caught fire at the perfect time; winning three of their last four matchups.

Thanks to their late-season heroics, Elba has secured a playoff spot and will begin their hunt for a state championship Friday, November 7th, when they travel to take on the Leroy Bears
