HOUSTON — If you’re flying out of Bush Airport, you may want to leave extra early. That’s because there are big changes to how you’ll get to your gate.
Beginning at 4 a.m. Saturday and until further notice, only two security checkpoints will remain open at Bush Airport -- those in Terminals A and E.
And if you’re flying United, the airline is advising travelers to check luggage in at Terminal C, then head over to Terminal E for security screening either on foot or on the airport's subway system.
For those of you who have flights out of Hobby Airport, you may notice fewer screening lanes, which will drive wait times up.
According to the Houston Airport System, wait times to get through security could be 30 minutes or longer.
This is all happening as the federal government remains shut
