SASKATOON – Cory Lee Rushkewich, a Rosetown man once listed as one of Saskatchewan’s most wanted fugitives remains in custody following his arrest last month.
Rushkewich appeared in Saskatoon Provincial Court on Oct. 29, where his case was adjourned to Nov. 14.
He was arrested on Sept. 8 by the Saskatchewan RCMP Enforcement Response Team (SERT).
His charges stem from an incident in Rosetown where a man was put into a medically induced coma after an assault in November 2023.
Rushkewich’s brother, Randy, was also charged in the incident. He was sentenced in July to 52 days in jail and 12 months of probation.
