DEL MAR, CA — Ted Noffey completed an undefeated season, stamping himself as likely champion and Kentucky Derby favorite with a 1 ¼-length win Friday in the $2 million, Grade 1 Breeders’ Cup Juvenile at Del Mar Thoroughbred Club .
Ridden by John Velazquez and trained by Todd Pletcher for Spendthrift Farm, Ted Noffey covered the 1 1/16 miles in 1:42.25 and paid $3.60 to win as the heavy 4-5 favorite. Breeders' Cup tickets: Saturday's races
