The Yogi Adityanath government has announced special paid leave for residents of Bihar working in Uttar Pradesh to enable them to vote in the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections.

According to an order issued by the General Administration Department, November 6 and 11 have been declared holidays for employees who are registered voters in Bihar, allowing them to travel home and exercise their franchise without difficulty.

The decision comes as campaigning intensifies ahead of the two-phase Bihar Assembly polls scheduled for November 6 and 11. Lakhs of Bihari labourers, employees, and professionals are currently employed across Uttar Pradesh in government offices, industries, construction projects, and the private sector.
