BATES COUNTY — An Amoret man is facing multiple charges for allegedly assaulting a woman in Bates County.
Travis Edward Tinsley, 34, is charged with assault, kidnapping, armed criminal action and victim tampering for the incident that reportedly occurred Oct. 29.
In a probable cause statement Tinsley is accused of striking the victim with both a closed fist and a liquor bottle. In a separate cases Tinsley is charged with stealing and property damage for allegedly stealing a truck from a property in the Rich Hill area and crashing it in Johnson County, Kansas.
Bond is set at $100,000 in the assault case and $10,000 in the stealing case. No court dates are scheduled at this time.
