POWELL COUNTY, Mont. – Montana Highway Patrol (MHP) provided new details about a fatal crash in Powell County.

According to MHP, the incident occurred shortly before 2:30 a.m. on Interstate 90. A 65-year-old man in a pickup truck was stopped in the eastbound lane with the vehicle's lights off.

A 25-year-old driver traveling on I-90 sideswiped the parked truck, veered off the right side of the road, and overturned. The 25-year-old died from injuries sustained in the crash.

MHP continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the accident.
