The Roswell Police and Fire Departments were called to the intersection of North Main Street and Pine Lodge Road about 5:45 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 30, for a single-vehicle accident involving an electric scooter.

The driver, a 46-year-old Roswell man, was operating the scooter westbound on East Pine Lodge when he attempted to make a left turn to go south on Main, the initial investigation determined. During the turn, he lost control of the scooter and was ejected from it. For context, this is a scooter on which the driver stands while operating it.

He was transported to a local hospital in serious condition and soon after flown to another hospital elsewhere for further treatment. An update on his condition has not yet been obtained Friday.
