CHAPEL HILL, N.C. (WTVD) -- A UNC student has pleaded guilty in a high-speed DWI crash that killed another Carolina student back in January 2024.
Investigators say 21-year-old Flemeeja Brewer was going more than 100 miles per hour when she crashed and flipped the car in the Meadowmont area.
Molly Rotunda , 20, was killed.
The posted speed limit in that area is 45 mph.
In court this week, Brewer pleaded guilty to felony death by vehicle and speeding.
She was sentenced to nearly five years in prison.
Seven people including several workers were charged in connection with the deadly crash.
